In front of over 87,000 fans at Wembley stadium England overcame eight times winners Germany to lift the first major cup since the men in 1966 for the World Cup.
England took the lead in the second half with a superb chip by Ella Toone, only for Germany to equalise in the 79th minute forcing extra time.
In the second half of extra time Chloe Kelly scored her first international goal to seal the win 2-1.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the team. Manager Sarina Wiegman won the previous Euro's in 2017 with the Netherlands and now in 2022 with England.
A C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, crewed by three women, flanked by two Typhoon fighter jets flew over Wembley Stadium before England’s historic fixture with Germany.
