Lurpak, often named the luxury butter brand, has seen prices rise and one supermarket, ASDA, is reported to have put security tags on the product.
We checked all the major supoermarkets this morning that gave prices online for a 500g pack of Lurpak.
Clearly prices vary between supermarkets and may change at any time.
Also Nordpak available at Aldi has been included as it was compared earlier this year in a report in the Mirror - Lurpak butter tested against Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons versions - with one clear winner - It was the ADLI product.
LIDL's Danpak not included as no prices found on their website.

Ha ha people think this is butter, it’s 22% water and 26% rapeseed oil… gullible fools.
If you want proper butter to be spreadable buy a block and leave it out of the fridge for 5 mins.
A product that’s butter will have butter written on it, this product is called spreadable the contents are spreadable, they could put a turd in it as long as it’s spreadable, yea I can’t believe it’s not butter , that’s because it’s not, even this product has “ it’s not butter “ in the title.
And if you think margarine is more good for you it’s not actually a food and is only one molecule away from plastic and should only be used for oiling bicycle chains.

Kerrygold and M&S do a 100% butter that is spreadable from the fridge, fine for toast or crackers but for bread then it does need to be out of the fridge for a few minutes.

There is more than one version of Lurpak - most big butter brands have a "spreadable" variety and nothing to do with "...I can't believe it's not butter!" which is a brand providing a product that lives by its title. Lurpak's version is 64 per cent butter.
The Lurpak brand represents a massive co-operation by Danish milk producers and is rightly hugely popular in many parts of the world.

Yea I was reading the first stats but you are right further down the page it says it’s 64% butter and that’s not good enough for me, most people will just see the word lurpack and think it’s 100% butter but it’s not it’s got cheap rapeseed oil, I gave up all oils apart from olive oil years ago, spreadable is as good as margarine to me. I’ll stick to 100% butter lurpack proper butter is nice and popular with me .

I keep promising myself that I’ll get some cream and have a go at making my own, I have seen it done on tik tok and it looks really good and tasty but so far I just haven’t got it together to do it.
